The 1066 Country Film Office is a partnership between Hastings Borough and Rother District Councils that covers the areas of Hastings, St Leonards, Battle, Bexhill, Rye and Camber Sands.
The 1066 Country Film Office values the relationship with Film, TV, Video, DVD and Photography Location Managers and Producers. We can organise guided tours, parking permits and will be happy to work on your behalf to act as a liaison with local businesses, property owners, the police and foreshore.
The 1066 Country area offers a range of easily accessible and stunning locations: dramatic Hastings Country Park, the flat promenade/beach of Hastings and Bexhill, Hastings old town with the tall black net huts, great architectural buildings at Burtons’ St Leonards. The cobbled streets of Rye, the historical landmarks of Battle and the vast, magnificent Cambers Sands.

So, whether you’re shooting a low budget feature, a short, a commercial or a major drama series, we’ll always do our best to accommodate you. Our bureaucracy-free approach means we’ve been able to help productions with notice periods as long as six months or as short as six hours. In exchange for this level of flexibility we expect incoming productions to be fully co-operative and highly courteous to our residents and visitors.
