British Airways i360 Viewing Tower

British Airways i360 Viewing Tower is a modern, architecturally striking landmark on Brighton seafront, UK. It is conceived and designed by Marks Barfield Architects, creators of the London Eye.

A single giant glass observation pod glides slowly up to 450ft, giving guests unfolding panoramic views across Brighton & Hove, the South Downs National Parks and the beautiful Sussex coastline. Some of the roof tops are painted, which gives a different look to a typical city scene. The viewing tower is directly opposite the West Pier, which looks striking when waves crash against it. Sunset flights in particular stand-out.

The glass viewing pod is fully enclosed, minimalist and spacious − it’s 10 times the size of a London Eye capsule. Up to 200 people can walk around freely and there is a stylish bar on board.

At beach level is a restaurant overlooking Brighton’s West Pier, with tables spilling out onto a sunny terrace. The restaurant is right on the pebbled beach and has sophisticated décor.

Flexible beachfront events spaces are also available and offer a blank canvass to film producers. Walls move back and once opened-up, the entire building can accommodate up to 1,000 people.
