Burnhopeside Hall

We are pleased to introduce this delightful new location Burnhopeside Hall.

Burnhopeside Hall is a GradeII* listed building of Historical interest and has featured as a film location in the past providing the location for the classic BBC Series “The Stars Look Down” by the writer Alan Plater, two series of “Catherine Cookson” and the “Inspector George Gently” series.

The Country House provides a beautiful setting and is surrounded by 18 acres of gardens and woodland, which merge with the Estate’s farmland and woodland, providing 475 acres of private areas for walking and cycling and 3/4 mile of river.

This will give a peaceful environment for filming whilst also providing excellent Camera Positions for filming the surrounding landscape.

Production Managers should note that there is plenty of room for Unit Vehicles, thereby making Burnhopeside an excellent Production HQ when Filming in the Area.

The Farm rears outdoor free range pigs, chickens, ducks and geese. A Walled Garden built in 1893 provides produce for the house, so that most of what is provided in the house is home grown or reared.

The four bedrooms are large and comfortable with super king double beds, traditional furniture and modern en-suite bathrooms which means that senior members of the cast & crew will enjoy relaxing here on “Hotel Call” whilst being very close to where filming is taking place.

The top floor of the Hall offers a self catering apartment.

On the Estate, we can stable your horses another extremely useful facility if producing a Period Drama.
