Calvert Trust Exmoor is an outdoor activity centre with accommodation for 60 people, based around a converted Victorian stone built quad-shaped farm building with central courtyard garden. The Centre is the only 5 star accredited activity accommodation in England.
The site offers a wealth of opportunities for filming, advertising and product launches, including 40 acres of fields, woodlands and activities facilities (climbing walls, stables, large sports hall, indoor and outdoor riding arenas), a swimming pool and a large solar array, plus another 40 acres of reservoir with surrounding woodland and paths.
The team at Calvert Trust Exmoor (CTE) are familiar with working with film crews, previous visitors include:
- BBC CBeebies `Something Special´ who filmed a complete episode on site (series 7 episode 24)
- BBC `Challenge Anneka´.
- Filmmakers producing corporate films for several companies.
CTE hosts residential visitors & non-residential guests with a wide range of disabilities, who participate in adventurous activities including archery, climbing, sailing, horse riding, carriage driving, abseil and wheelchair abseil, accessible cycling, and swimming. Opportunities can be made available to filmmakers to shoot any of our activities, either with our without our guests on the session.
CTE also has a large car park and several other areas of that can be made available to be used as a unit base for filmmakers working elsewhere in the area.
