Eastbourne Borough Council

Eastbourne Borough Council understands the value of a good relationship with the film industry, offering a wealth of experience and relevant contacts.

Eastbourne Borough Council’s Film Liaison Unit is a one-stop service to Film, TV, Video, DVD and Photography Location Managers and Producers. Not only are we flexible and committed we have the necessary services and contacts to ensure that your visit is trouble free.

We can arrange guided tours, organise parking areas, parking permits, ensure an officer is on 24-hour call to deal with any problems and obtain the necessary permissions to film at your chosen location.

A wide range of information on Eastbourne and the surrounding area is also available from us. We are happy to work on your behalf to act as a liaison with local businesses, property owners, the police and traffic wardens.

Eastbourne offers a range of easily accessible and stunning locations: Beachy Head, Falling Sands and Holywell, the unspoilt Victorian Seafront and Pier, a seafront Bandstand, Redoubt Fortress and the Sovereign Harbour Marina (the largest of its type in northern Europe). The International Lawn Tennis Centre provides distinctive park setting. Our seafront accommodation offers a quality resting/entertainment place for you and your crew and thanks to our links we can organise your group booking and stay.

Over the years motion picture blockbusters such as Brighton Rock, Made in Dagenham, The Living Daylights, Robin Hood, and Pearl Harbour have been filmed here. The BBC’s The Lives and Loves of a She-Devil also used the Belle Tout Lighthouse as its setting with Top Gear’s 50 year celebration of the E-type Jaguar filmed on Beachy Head.

Eastbourne has been host to massive British pop acts Blur and Texas music videos as well as numerous TV programmes and commercials including Little Britain and Haribo.
