Eartham House is a magnificent, historic, country house set in its own extensive stunning grounds in the beautiful Sussex countryside on the southern edge of the South Downs National Park. As well as being the home of Great Ballard School, an independent day and boarding prep school for boys and girls since 1961, the House is available as a Film Location and Production HQ at certain times of the year when filming in or near the beautiful South Downs.
Production Designers will be pleased to know that Eartham House still has many of its original Regency features but has been extended over the years and finally remodelled for Sir William Bird at the beginning of the 20th century by the famous British architect, Sir Edwin Lutyens. It has had many famous owners and visitors over the years including poets, sculptors and MPs.
Its location and ambience makes it an ideal as a film location providing many camera positions for filming the extensive grounds and Production Managers should note that there is ample parking for Unit Vehicles and accommodation for Cast & Crew.
