Woodbrook House

Woodbrook House is a classic Anglo Irish pile in lovely countryside in Co Wexford, S.E. Ireland, one and a half hours drive from Dublin. Features include an enormous drawing room with tall sash windows to the ground and a most unusual spiral ‘flying’ staircase, the only one of its kind in Ireland. The house is surrounded by lawns and woodland, with magnificent old trees, in a park like setting with the Blackstairs Mountains in the background.

There is an old stable yard, with original loose boxes and stalls, and a separate cattle yard, as well as two large Dutch barns and an unkempt walled garden. Also, with its own, separate avenue lined with fine old chestnut trees there is a natural burial ground, ie one without headstones or asphalt paths with just a tree planted over each grave.

In the main house there are four fine bedrooms on the first floor, with their own bathrooms, and there is more accommodation in a separate flat in the stable yard used during a language school which happens each July.
