Ednovean is a 17 century converted Granite barn with completely open plan upper floor. Art Directors will appreciate that it is furnished with antique, vintage and arts and crafts furnishings with liberty sofas. The upper floor opens to a stable door and outside steps. Bedrooms range from beamed ceilings and four poster beds to high canopied ceilings with French doors on to sea view terraces making excellent camera positions. The en suite bathrooms have rolled top baths (one central) the lower ground floor has a flagstone hall with stable door.
The old farmyard has been professionally landscaped to formal garden rooms and box parterre flanked by Date and Fig trees. The house has several gravel terraces leading to the wider lawns which have sweeping view over Mounts bay leading to a formal Italian Garden with central aisle and classical statues. The wilder garden has a long snaking vista though a relaxed planting of Phormium and Cordyline with a small farm gate into farmland and views over mounts bay to Penzance Newlyn Mousehole and ST Michael’s Mount
The car park has an open barn with interior grid fronted stables and the higher yard has three modern canopied timber sectional stables with small orchard, empty hen house and post and rails to pasture. There are nine horses here in total including a Spanish Stallion, excellent for Period Drama.
Production Managers should note that Ednovean Farm consists of 22 acres of grassland thereby providing the facility to park Unit Vehicles making Ednovean Farm a perfect Production HQ when filming in this beautiful part of Cornwall.
