Trewan Hall

“Trewan Hall is a 17th century Cornish manor house, grade II* listed. It is set in 36 acres of gardens, woodlands and fields with views across the valley, taking in the local town of St Columb and beyond. It has a relaxing atmosphere, quiet and peaceful with interesting sites around the estate including a number of barns. These outbuildings are readily available for use including one long open “theatre” barn.

The house lends itself to picturesque shots with uninterrupted landscape in front of the building. The gardens are well kept and beautiful from spring to autumn. There is a walled garden with period architectural features including castellated arches. An impressive driveway leads to the Hall which is especially stunning when the rhododendrons are in flower. The woodlands around the estate include many mature trees and gravel pathways.

Only the exterior of the Hall can be used for filming as the interior is taken up with flats and tenants who live here all the year round. Unfortunately, there are few features within the Hall that are of any interest, but a large billiard room and small library could be used.

It is primarily a camping site so would not be available for filming during the main school holidays but outside these times these large open fields are excellent for location and catering units, including electric hook ups. Shower blocks can be available outside the camping season.”
