Welcome To Wyedean School and Sixth Form Centre
Set in 23 acres, which includes the school playing fields, Wyedean School and Sixth Form Centre opened on its present site in 1976 (originally founded 1973). Overlooking the Welsh border near Chepstow, close to the Forest of Dean. Wyedean has a fully functioning barista run café, and a commercial gym.
JK Rowling (author/former Head Girl), Owain Yeoman (actor) and Ross Hawkins (BBC correspondent) are all former students.
Chepstow Town Centre with the World’s largest iron bridge, dating back 200 years, designed by John Urpeth Rastrick and Chepstow Castle are both within walking distance of the school.
Filming can take place outside school hours, evenings and weekends, anytime apart from our core hours, not just holidays. The buildings and grounds including a small lake offer an array of opportunities for filming.
Chepstow (Monmouthshire) is the nearest main line train station, and has regular service connections to Cardiff and London. By car, Sedbury is easily accessible from the M4 and M5.
