Bilsington Priory Estate

We are very pleased to introduce this fantastic and versatile new location Bilsington Priory Estate.

Set in 1,000 acres of beautiful countryside with 600 acres of woodland and it’s own Equestrian Centre the Estate has much to offer Film and TV Programme Makers in terms of a Film Location, a Unit Base/Production Headquarters and can provide a Horse Wrangling service for many types of Period Drama.

There is an Edwardian Manor House to Film in, an Edwardian Stable Block with 46 stables and indoor and outdoor arenas, 7 acres of formal gardens and of course the old priory building St Augustine’s.

St. Augustine’s Priory is the most idyllic of Kentish locations. Founded in 1253, dissolved in 1535 and restored in 1906, this distinguished medieval Priory is steeped in history. Originally home to the Black Cannons of St. Augustine’s Order, it was a hostel for many pilgrims to Canterbury, later a centre for smugglers, most notably the Aldington Gang, and to this day, still retains an ancient offer of hospitality to the Archdeacon of Canterbury who has the privilege of staying at the Priory ‘two nights and a day, but nothing more.’ Set in seven magnificent acres of mature gardens, with majestic outlooks in every direction, the distinguished old Priory and Edwardian country house are offered exclusively to Film Makers searching for that unique location.

With everything Bilsington Priory Estate has to offer Film Makers in terms of a variety of locations coupled with it’s seclusion and privacy as a Unit Base/Production HQ this makes Bilsington a “Must See” for your next shoot.
